1. Who We Are

Dawra (دورة) is a period and fertility tracking app developed and published by Oxford Medical, Kuwait. In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to Oxford Medical.

2. Data Collection Summary

Data You Enter in the App

Dawra stores the following data locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. None of this data is ever transmitted to us or any third party:

• Menstrual cycle dates, period length, and flow intensity
• Basal body temperature (BBT) readings
• Cervical mucus observations
• Ovulation predictor kit (OPK) test results and brands
• Sexual activity logs
• Sleep duration
• Symptoms and mood entries
• Tracking mode preferences (natural cycle, TTC, IVF stimulation, FET)
• Islamic tracking preferences (Madhab selection, Haidh/Istihadah classification, Ramadan Qada fasting days)
• Notification preferences and reminder times
• User profile settings (language, temperature unit, cycle length defaults)

Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Location or GPS data
• Photos or media files
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• IP addresses (our analytics provider does not log them)
• Any of the health data listed above

4. Apple HealthKit

Dawra offers optional integration with Apple HealthKit. If you grant permission, Dawra may read and/or write the following data types:

Read & Write

• Menstrual Flow — period dates and flow intensity
• Basal Body Temperature — BBT readings for fertility charting
• Cervical Mucus Quality — dry, sticky, creamy, watery, egg white
• Ovulation Test Results — OPK/LH surge data
• Sexual Activity — intimacy logs
• Sleep Analysis — sleep duration

Read Only

• Heart Rate — resting heart rate for cycle phase correlation

In compliance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines, Dawra does not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing purposes, and does not sell or disclose it to third parties, data brokers, or information resellers.

5. Analytics

Dawra uses TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service headquartered in Germany (EU), to collect anonymous, aggregated usage signals. This helps us understand which features are used so we can improve the app.

TelemetryDeck:

• Does not collect personal information, health data, or device identifiers
• Does not collect or log IP addresses
• Does not use cookies or persistent tracking identifiers
• Does not use device fingerprinting
• Does not create user profiles or enable us to identify individuals
• Is fully GDPR compliant (processed by TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany)

Examples of anonymous signals we collect:

• App launched, onboarding completed
• Which tracking mode was selected (e.g., "natural" or "TTC" — no health data attached)
• Feature usage counts (e.g., "a log was saved" — not what was logged)
• Tab navigation and settings changes (e.g., "biometric lock enabled" — no personal context)

No reproductive health data, cycle dates, symptoms, temperatures, or personal information is ever included in analytics signals.

6. Patient Access Codes

Oxford Medical clinic patients may optionally enter an access code to unlock advanced clinical features (IVF stimulation and FET tracking modes). These codes are verified entirely on-device using a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash. The original access code is never stored — only a hash comparison is performed locally. No verification request is sent to any server.

Verification status and an optional patient ID are stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and are never transmitted.

7. Data Sharing

Dawra does not share your personal or health data with anyone.

• We do not sell data to third parties.
• We do not share data with advertisers.
• We do not integrate advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or third-party data collection frameworks.
• We do not transmit health data to Oxford Medical or any other entity.

The only network communication Dawra makes is sending anonymous, aggregated analytics signals to TelemetryDeck, which contain no personal or health information.

8. Data Export

Dawra provides a built-in CSV export feature so you can obtain a portable copy of your cycle data to share with your healthcare provider or keep for your records. Data export is entirely user-initiated — you must manually trigger it from the app's settings.

Exported data may include: cycle number, start/end dates, cycle length, period length, confirmed ovulation day, luteal phase length, symptom averages, OPK peak day, BBT shift day, tracking mode, and (if enabled) Madhab preference.

The exported file is generated locally and saved to a location you choose on your device. It is never automatically uploaded or transmitted.

9. Notifications

Dawra uses local notifications only (not remote push notifications via Apple's Push Notification service). No notification server is involved. All scheduling occurs on your device.

Optional notification types include:

• Daily logging reminders
• Fertile window alerts
• IVF/FET medication reminders (including trigger shot multi-stage alerts)
• Ramadan Qada fasting reminders

You can disable all notifications at any time through Dawra's settings or iOS Settings.

10. Third-Party Services

• TelemetryDeck — anonymous analytics (see Section 5). No personal data shared.
• Apple HealthKit — optional on-device health data sync (see Section 4). No data leaves device.

That is the complete list. We do not integrate any other third-party SDKs, advertising networks, crash reporters that collect personal data, or tracking tools.

11. Children's Privacy

Dawra is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since all data is stored locally on the device, a parent or guardian can remove all data by deleting the app.

12. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full and immediate control:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times.
• Portability: Use the built-in CSV export feature to obtain a machine-readable copy of your data.
• Rectification: Edit or correct any entry directly in the app.
• Deletion: Delete the Dawra app from your device to permanently and irrevocably remove all data stored by the app. There is no server-side data to request deletion of, because none exists.
• HealthKit data: Data previously written to Apple Health persists independently in the Health app and can be managed there.

Under the GDPR, CCPA, Kuwait Data Privacy regulations, and similar frameworks, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data. Since Dawra stores no data on remote servers and collects no personal information, these rights are inherently satisfied — your data is entirely in your possession.

13. International Users

Dawra does not transfer personal data internationally because it does not transfer personal data at all. Anonymous analytics signals processed by TelemetryDeck are handled within the EU in compliance with GDPR.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through an in-app notice. Continued use of Dawra after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
